The RITA staff also provides safety seminars on a monthly basis. These seminars have included speakers from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration; Rhode Island State Police, Commercial Enforcement Unit; Internal Revenue Service, concerning Dyed Fuel use; and Drug and Alcohol testing to name a few.

The Rhode Island Trucking Association provides out-of-state representation as required by the Surface Transportation Board, formerly the I.C.C. RITA and ATA have set up a network of Resident Agents to provide services to Interstate Carriers as required. This service is available to members at a reasonable fee.

RITA also maintains, and offers at a 50% discount to its members, a complete stock of trucking supplies. The supplies include Log Books, Federal Safety Regulations, Physical Examination Forms, Accident Registers, Hazardous Materials Regulations, Emergency Response Guide Books, and other required books and manuals.
